This past weekend, I've been busy making ILY candles and embeds for the 90 Love booth at various locations.
I think they came out great and just love how they smell and look! I made everything you see in the two pictures. They're all for fundraising and safe to say the whole weekend our flat smelled really nice! Green Tart Apple, Blossom Fields, Hawaiian Dreams and Citrus Oil.
I used spring scents so they would rejuvenate the senses after the dull winter!
Those candles will come attached with a leather string and a ILY pendant.
Tactile smile!
Patty

Pendants
Today I made pendants as I made one for myself and just loved how they turned out.
Hubby and I will be going to Mayfest and setting up the 90 Love booth with other DeafBlind artists/craftisans.
This is what I've done so far with the pendants, I like how they've turned out. These will go for $2.00 each and I will look for really good quality leather strands to attach with those.
Tactile smile to all!
Hugs,
Patty

Glass beads and the beauty of them
I've been doing a lot more glass beads bracelets and making sets as well.
Beading therapy I highly recommend it because it is excellent for hand/eye coordination. Of course I may have the most costliest therapy as I just paid over $100 but I love it! I use glass as it is easiest to work with. The texture is smooth and the seed beads has to be glass too.
It's a personal preference of mine because glass is easier to pick up, handle and manipulate when working with them especially when I'm working with memory wire.
Hubby, bless his heart, he took pictures of the bracelets, necklaces, bracelet/necklace set and a pet collar I've made. They came out great! I am very impressed with the colour choices as they are so vibrant.
The money that I sell will all go to 90 Love, a non profit support group for the DeafBlind community. The DeafBlind community needs to socialise more with the Deaf community so it is my personal goal to use 90 Love as a common bridge for both communities to socialise together.
Enjoy the pictures as I definitely enjoyed making them!
Tactile smile,
Patty

Beading Therapy
Over the week and the past weekend, I've been doing a lot of beading and making memory wire bracelets. It's wonderful therapy I tell you! I call it "beading therapy" as those who are here to view my blog knows I am an "emotional eater" and still struggle with it growing up. It's very easy to "emotion eat" to escape from the issues that bothers me but it doesn't mean I am resolving them.
I had therapy and emotional eating was what I learned that didn't help so I had to find other coping methods and beading therapy came from this. It's beautiful. Quite relaxing and helps me focus, learn to be patient because stress does a lot on your body and if you're all tense, you're not able to hold a bead especially when it is a glass bead.
I love using glass beads because the designs are always beautiful and the texture is smooth. Memory wire I use all the time as I started off using crafting wire a long time ago but couldn't get the desired shape. Some would break until memory wire was what I wanted and stuck with it.
I hope you enjoy the visual aspect whereas I loved the tactile aspect of beading therapy.
Tactile smile to all and with love,
