Sunshine - where are you?

"Sunshine, where are you?
Hiding away from me,
what can I do?
A cat and mouse game
so cute and vain
Sunshine, I need you
My skin and eyes,
they burn in your presence.
A love and hate relationship
but I ache for you.
I look up for you and you hide
when I need you the most.
Sunshine, where are you?
The cute and vain
cat and mouse game.
Burn my skin and eyes,
I need you and welcome you
like a long-lost toy."

Insight into what it must feel like to live in your world.

Oh yes, I crave and hate the sun at the same time.

I use poetry to express myself because I can't complain about my world as I know there are other people who have more losses than I do. Those same people have a beautiful insight about the world and I look up to them. You are one of them and I associate myself with those beautiful people, you motivate me and you fuel my fire to live life to the fullest.

I thank you humbly, dear friend.

My losses do not diminish your losses. A vision loss is a severe loss especially when coupled with a loss of hearing.

It is devastating and you have to learn to live with those losses and be happy too. You don't want to merely coast through life.
